Sana'a: The Wounded Foundation launched today in Sana'a the first phase of producing medical garments and distributing them to hospitals, within the economic empowerment programs for the wounded and their families, implemented by the foundation in partnership with Yemen Mobile Telecommunications Company.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch, the Executive Director of the foundation, Ali Al-Dahiani, emphasized the importance of the project in transforming the wounded from recipients of care into producers by developing the sewing workshop affiliated with the Wounded Foundation. He highlighted that the economic empowerment projects and programs carried out by the foundation, with support from Yemen Mobile Company, are part of social responsibility efforts towards those who have sacrificed greatly for the honor and dignity of Yemen.

Al-Dahiani noted that the medical garment production project is also a response to the health sector's requirement for basic medical supplies such as sheets, gowns, lab coats, and surgical suits. These supplies will be distributed to beneficiary health facilities, aiding in alleviating burdens and enhancing the quality of care provided to the wounded.

He regarded the launch of the project's first phase as a significant step toward developing the foundation's sewing workshop by equipping it with modern production equipment that enhances its operational capacity, efficiency, and sustainability. The Executive Director praised the support of Yemen Mobile Telecommunications Company, recognizing it as an exemplary model of social responsibility and a genuine partner in caring for and serving the wounded.

He explained that the economic empowerment projects and programs are part of a broader vision of the Wounded Foundation aimed at building a sustainable institutional model in care and empowerment, expanding community partnerships to serve the wounded and their families, enhancing their dignity, and improving their livelihood.

The launch event, attended by Deputy Directors of the Model Police Hospital, Dr. Nawaf Al-Ashhab, Dr. Ahmed Al-Talibi, and Dr. Ali Al-Haddad, featured a poem recited by poet Sami Obaid and a television presentation on the economic empowerment programs and projects implemented by the Wounded Foundation.
