The first half ended goalless before Ahli Sana'a secured the win with two second-half goals scored by Ahmed Dhubaan and Jalal Al-Jalal from a penalty kick. The result lifted Ahli Sana'a temporarily to fourth place, while Salm Al-Ghorfa remained at the bottom of the table without points.
According to Yemen News Agency, in the capital Sana'a, Al-Aruba recorded a narrow 1-0 win over visiting Ittehad Seiyun, with the only goal scored in the first half by Abdulrahman Al-Nadish. In Marib, Al-Sadd defeated visiting Ittehad Ibb 1-0 in a match held at Marib Stadium earlier in the day.
