Sana'a: The Head of the Supreme Judiciary Council, Judge Dr. Abdulmu'min Shujaa al-Din, and the Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority, Judge Dr. Marwan Al-Mahaqri, honored a number of distinguished judges in the courts of the Capital Secretariat and Sana'a Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the first meeting to honor judges of the Secretariat, attended by the Head of the Court of Appeal, Judge Taha Aqaba, marked a significant recognition of the judges' efforts and excellence in performing their duties. The Head of the Supreme Judiciary Council emphasized that this initiative reflects the judiciary's interest in judges who provide essential public services.
Judge Shujaa al-Din highlighted that the recognition is based on scientific criteria and objective performance indicators, devoid of favoritism or bias. He noted that future phases would include other groups of judges deserving acknowledgment, emphasizing that a judge's honor is derived from their work and dedication. This initiative aims to foster a culture of excellence within the judicial community, thereby strengthening justice and serving society.
The Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority, during meetings in the Capital Secretariat and the Court of Appeal in Sana'a Governorate, presented judicial statistics used to honor judges who excelled in resolving delayed cases. Judge Al-Mahaqri expressed gratitude for the judges' efforts in upholding justice and noted the revolutionary and political leadership's commitment to enhancing judicial performance.
Judge Al-Mahaqri explained that the judiciary demonstrated merit, integrity, and efficiency over the past year, with hopes for further excellence in the year 1448 AH. The Authority reviewed judicial statistics for the year 1447 AH, revealing that 152,000 cases were resolved, excluding preliminary order cases and proof rulings.
He reiterated that the honoring adhered to precise and objective criteria, ensuring fairness. The Authority continues to strive for improving judicial rights and enhancing the judiciary's development and reform.
The honored judges expressed their gratitude for the recognition, viewing it as a modern management tool to enhance performance and foster a competitive environment to improve work quality and case resolution.
