Sana'a: The table tennis tournament organized for employees of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Fund for the Care of Youth, celebrating the Prophet's Birthday Cup, concluded in Sana'a with Ahmed Zayed emerging victorious. The tournament, supported by the Technical Committee for Summer Activities and Courses, saw Zayed defeat Adel Farhan in the singles final by two sets to nil.
According to Yemen News Agency, the doubles competition witnessed the team of Ahmed Zayed and Essam Driban securing first place. The duo of Abbas Al-Madoumi and Abdulrahman Al-Hatami claimed second place, while Majed Al-Muallimi and Khaled Al-Batoul finished third. The pair Sadiq Al-Salwi and Adel Farhan rounded out the top four positions.
The tournament concluded with a ceremony where Abdullah Al-Razhi, Undersecretary of the Youth Sector at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, along with Assistant Undersecretary for the Sports Sector, Hussein Al-Khawlani, and other officials, honored the champions. They presented cups, medals, and financial prizes to the winners, recognizing their achievements in the competition.
During the closing ceremony, Al-Razhi praised the tournament's organization and the efforts of the committee led by Abbas Al-Madoumi and deputy Essam Driban. He highlighted the Ministry's commitment to organizing such events to foster a competitive spirit and camaraderie among employees.
