Dhamar: The Emergency Development Interventions Unit has delivered an air compressor to the Maghrib Ans Agricultural Cooperative in Dhamar Governorate. The compressor, intended for stone cutting, will be employed in the second phase of the Al-Qouz Road paving project, bolstering community initiatives aimed at enhancing rural infrastructure.
According to Yemen News Agency, the road is an essential route for residents, offering access to crucial services. It spans 2,500 meters in length and three meters in width, benefiting over 9,000 people from surrounding villages and communities.
An engineering team from the Interventions Unit and the Cooperative carried out field visits to several development projects directly impacting citizens' lives. These projects included the Al-Ahyas Well Reservoir, which provides water to the area and supports 859 families, and the Ghayl Al-Halhal project, which seeks to improve irrigation and water flow to agricultural lands. The visit also covered the paving project for the 377-meter-long Akmat Rashid road and the first phase of the Al-Qouz road paving project.
The team praised the community's initiative and understanding of the importance of collaborative work, stressing that partnership between the community and supportive official bodies is a crucial element for advancing sustainable development and enhancing services in rural areas.
