Sanaa:Dozens of civilians have been killed and wounded due to ongoing airstrikes and shelling by US-Saudi-Emirati aggression targeting various provinces in Yemen.
According to Yemen News Agency, on September 27, 2015, 28 citizens were killed and 17 others wounded in Bani Zaila village in Hajjah Province. In Sana'a Province, an airstrike killed eight citizens, including children, while further airstrikes caused significant material damage in other districts. In Taiz Province, five citizens were killed in Haseek village. Additional airstrikes in Yarim City resulted in five family members' deaths, and three women were wounded in Hazm Al-Udain District. The Community College in Yarim was also destroyed.
In Hodeida Province, airstrikes targeted multiple districts, including Al-Khokha and Bayt Al-Faqih, causing damage. In the Capital Secretariat, airstrikes damaged homes and the Spinning and Weaving Factory. Saada Province experienced extensive airstrikes damaging homes and farms. By September 27, 2016, further attacks in Saada Province resulted in fatalities and damage to agriculture, vehicles, and infrastructure.
On September 27, 2017, a citizen was wounded, and Saudi missile shelling caused further damage in Saada Province. Airstrikes in Hajjah and Ma'rib Provinces caused fires and destruction to homes and farms. In Al-Jawf Province, airstrikes continued to target key areas.
In subsequent years, the violence persisted. On September 27, 2018, artillery shelling and airstrikes in Hodeida and Hajjah Provinces resulted in deaths and property damage. By September 27, 2019, artillery shelling killed a child and wounded another in Saada Province. Airstrikes and shelling further damaged properties.
On September 27, 2020, artillery shelling in Hodeida Province killed two people and wounded others. Airstrikes continued to devastate areas in Saada, Sana'a, Ma'rib, and Al-Jawf Provinces. The following year, on September 27, 2021, border guard fire killed two citizens in Saada Province, and airstrikes in Marib and Al-Jawf Provinces added to the destruction. In Hodeida, reconnaissance aircraft targeted several districts.
Most recently, on September 27, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft and artillery shelling continued in Hodeida Province, with mercenaries establishing combat positions and targeting multiple areas across Yemen. The ongoing conflict continues to take a heavy toll on civilian lives and infrastructure.
