Sana'a: On this day, May 8, the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition conducted numerous airstrikes and shelling activities across various regions in Yemen, targeting citizens' homes, properties, and service facilities. These attacks resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens, predominantly affecting women and children, while others succumbed due to the ongoing siege in the city of Al-Durayhimi in Al-Hodeida province. According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression on May 8, 2015, saw 13 citizens martyred and two others injured, most of them women and children, following an airstrike on the house of Mohammed Nasser Faknah in Hajjah province. The same day witnessed further destruction in the Amran province and Saada city, where government and public structures were targeted. On May 8, 2016, airstrikes in the Masoura area of Sana'a province led to seven deaths and 17 injuries. Meanwhile, artillery and missile shelling by aggression mercenaries intensified in Marib and Shabwah provinces, further extending to Taiz and Al-Jawf provinces. The following year, on May 8, 2017, the aggression aircraft executed multiple airstrikes across Taiz and Saada provinces, causing significant damage in Moza and Dhubab districts. The attacks continued in Hajjah province and extended to the Al-Amoud site in Jizan. May 8, 2018, was marked by airstrikes in Marib and Saada provinces, with additional attacks on civilian properties in Taiz. The airstrikes and shelling severely affected citizens' homes and farms. The aggression on May 8, 2019, resulted in the death of civilians due to disease and hunger in Al-Durayhimi city. The mercenaries also targeted properties in Al-Hodeida province, causing widespread destruction. In 2020, a tragic incident claimed the life of a nine-year-old child and his mother in Taiz province. That same day, airstrikes and shelling inflicted further damage across Marib, Saada, and Al-Hodeida provinces. On May 8, 2021, Saudi artillery shelling in Saada province resulted in one death and two injuries. The aggression e xtended to other regions, including Marib and Al-Bayda provinces, with significant military presence and fortifications established by mercenaries. The 2022 aggression saw extensive shelling and fortifications by mercenaries in Al-Hodeida and other provinces, targeting residential and agricultural areas with artillery and missile fire. Most recently, on May 8, 2023, the coalition's spy aircraft launched airstrikes in Al-Hodeida province, with mercenaries establishing fortifications and conducting further shelling in the region. These recurring aggressions underscore the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in Yemen, impacting countless civilians and exacerbating the region's instability.
