Hodeidah: The Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, and the Governor of Hodeidah, Abdullah Atifi, accompanied by the Acting Executive Director General of the Yemen Gas Company, Yasser Al-Wahidi, today launched the program for distributing domestic gas cylinders free of charge to citizens in the liberated areas and districts of the western coast in Hodeidah and Taiz governorates.
According to Yemen News Agency, the initiative, implemented by the Yemen Gas Company, aims to distribute 6,500 new, maintained, and filled domestic gas cylinders to citizens in the liberated districts of the western coast in Hodeidah and Taiz governorates, free of charge. The initiative seeks to meet the needs of citizens, alleviate their suffering, and facilitate their access to domestic gas.
During the launch, the Minister of Oil and Minerals explained that the launch of the program comes within the framework of the ministry's interest in providing citizens' needs for domestic gas and enhancing its access to the liberated areas and districts of the western coast. This initiative contributes to alleviating the living burdens of citizens.
He pointed to the ministry's keenness to follow up on the implementation of the program and supervise the progress of the distribution process. This is done in coordination with the Yemen Gas Company and local authorities, ensuring the program is implemented according to the specified mechanism and the material reaches the targeted citizens.
Minister Al-Amir considered the initiative a translation of the interest of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council in enhancing supply stability for oil derivatives and gas in all liberated districts. He noted the continuation of implementing vital service initiatives and projects that contribute to supporting society and alleviating the living burdens on citizens.
He renewed the affirmation of the availability of oil derivatives and gas in a way that meets the needs of citizens and stabilizes the supply situation.
For his part, the Governor of Hodeidah praised the role of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and the Yemen Gas Company in implementing the program and coordinating with the local authority. This coordination contributes to delivering the allocated quantities to citizens and enhancing the services provided to them in the liberated districts of the western coast.
He noted that providing filled gas cylinders comes within the framework of supporting citizens in the liberated districts and enhancing the presence of basic services in them. He valued this step that targets a wide segment of citizens and provides them with a gas cylinder filled with gas free of charge.
Meanwhile, the Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company stated that the implementation of the program comes within the company's efforts to enhance the provision of domestic gas and cover the needs of citizens in the targeted districts. This is achieved by delivering filled cylinders and distributing them according to a specific work plan.
He pointed out that the company is working tirelessly to cover citizens' needs for gas, alleviate their suffering, and facilitate their access to it with ease. The distribution process is carried out in coordination with the local authorities in the targeted districts under the direct supervision of the leadership of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals.
Al-Wahidi noted that the company has completed the necessary arrangements to implement the distribution process in the targeted districts, ensuring the cylinders reach citizens and are benefited from according to the program prepared for this purpose.
The launch was attended by a number of department directors in the Yemen Gas Company and a number of officials and specialists in the local authority and relevant authorities.
