Brussels: The Director General of the Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakeel Al-Barashi, inspected today the road extending from Ibb Governorate toward Al-Jarahi - Al-Hodeida, to identify a suitable location for establishing a Traffic Police Road Services Center.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Barashi, accompanied by the directors of Al-Udayn District Sinan Ali, Far' Al-Udayn District Jamal Al-Mazhani, and the Director of Traffic Police in Ibb Governorate Colonel Mohammed Atif, reviewed the nature of the road, traffic flow, and the service and traffic needs along the route. This initiative aims to meet the needs of travelers and enhance traffic safety levels on long-distance roads.
The selection of the site for the center is the result of coordination and meetings held with the Security Director of Ibb Governorate, Brigadier General Hadi Al-Kahlani, during which the importance of enhancing traffic services on vital routes and expanding the reach of Traffic Police Road Services Centers was emphasized.
The Director General of the Traffic Police, Dr. Al-Barashi, considered this step a practical translation of the directives of the Ministry of Interior's leadership. It is based on the Traffic Police's development plan, derived from the ministry's construction and development plan, aimed at raising the level of traffic performance and expanding the range of services provided to citizens on long-distance roads.
He explained that the proposed center will undertake a comprehensive service and humanitarian role by assisting road users, dealing with accidents and emergencies, and supporting travelers. This will enhance traffic safety and raise the level of response on one of the important roads connecting the central governorates to the western coast.
Dr. Al-Barashi pointed out that the selection of suitable locations for Traffic Police Road Services Centers is carried out according to a field study that takes into account the nature of the road, traffic density, population centers, and distances between centers. This ensures the highest level of effectiveness and benefit in serving citizens.
He noted that the expansion in establishing Traffic Police Road Services Centers comes within the framework of the attention given by the revolutionary and political leadership and the Ministry of Interior's leadership to construction and development projects. The Traffic Police is committed to developing its services and transitioning them to a level more closely aligned with the needs of citizens and road users.
