Al-Bashiri Leads Discussion on Shibam Holding Company’s Revitalization Plan

Muscat: Acting Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment Sam Al-Bashiri chaired a meeting on Monday to discuss an executive plan aimed at revitalizing the Shibam Real Estate Development and Investment Holding Company.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting saw the participation of Deputy Minister of Economy for Policies, Studies and Planning Fouad Al-Junaid and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shibam Company Abdullah Al-Shaer. The attendees reviewed an assessment report on the company, along with the programs and projects included in the proposed revitalization plan. This plan was formulated based on recommendations from a committee established by the Ministry of Economy to evaluate the company's current condition.

Al-Bashiri emphasized the necessity of preparing a detailed implementation matrix for the plans and projects outlined in the revitalization strategy. He highlighted the importance of effectively utilizing available assets and properties, as well as addressing the challenges affecting some of the company's underperforming assets.

Furthermore, Al-Bashiri underscored the need for Shibam Company to operate with a modern and adaptable vision that aligns with market demands. This approach is expected to enhance the company's role in real estate development and support the implementation of projects identified by the General Investment Authority as promising investment opportunities.
