Al-Bayda Commemorates 19th Anniversary of Scholar Majd al-Din al-Mu’ayyadi’s Passing

Al-bayda: The offices of the Endowments and Guidance Authority and the Zakat Authority in Al-Bayda Governorate organized a commemorative lecture event in the city of Rada'a this evening to mark the 19th anniversary of the passing of Imam Al-Hujjah, Majd al-Din bin Muhammad al-Mu'ayyadi.

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by the Governorate's Deputy Ahmed Al-Sayqal, the district's Mobilization Officer Muhammad Al-Riyami, and the Commander of the Emergency Forces in the governorate, Colonel Issam Al-Ghaili. During the event, Salim Hamid al-Din, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, described the annual commemoration of the scholar Majd al-Din al-Mu'ayyadi as a tribute to knowledge and learning, an elevation to the ranks of great figures, and a continuation of their path.

He emphasized the need to honor the memories of the righteous scholars of the Ummah to recall their lives and personalities, which guide the Islamic nation back to the correct path and the straight way.

Al-Hamid al-Din also addressed the role of eminent scholars in teaching God's commands, the importance of striving in the path of Allah, and in strengthening faith-based identity and Qur'anic culture.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Al-Hamzi, the head of the Guidance Sector in the governorate, highlighted key stages of al-Mu'ayyadi's life, spent in studying knowledge, teaching, worship, guidance, and calling to Allah with wisdom and good counsel.

He noted that al-Mu'ayyadi was distinguished by his vast knowledge and mastery of his field, strength in presentation, depth of insight, broad understanding, adherence to limits, and determination in supporting the cause of truth. He was a beacon in knowledge and action, in lessons, remembrance, and thought.

Al-Hamzi also pointed to Imam al-Mu'ayyadi's role in renewing the features of religion and its laws, reviving the approach of the Prophet's household, and promoting values of honor, dignity, justice, and noble ethics.

He stressed the importance of drawing lessons from the life of Majd al-Din al-Mu'ayyadi for his knowledge, ethics, and commendable qualities, and following his example as one of the distinguished figures of the Ummah.
