Al-Bayda Training Course Focuses on Loan Provision for Small Projects

Al-bayda: A training course on providing loans for small projects and economic empowerment began on Saturday in Al-Bayda Governorate, organized by the National Women's Committee in cooperation with the General Authority for the Development of Small and Micro Enterprises.

According to Yemen News Agency, the two-day course aims to equip 15 participants, both male and female, representing executive offices, government bodies, women's sectors, and productive families, with skills related to organizing lending procedures, ensuring data accuracy, facilitating monitoring and oversight, promoting transparency, accelerating loan procedures, reducing financial risks, and managing electronic loan disbursement mechanisms.

During the opening session, Deputy Governor Saleh Al-Mansouri emphasized the importance of holding such courses to qualify human cadres capable of enhancing local development for productive families through income-generating projects. He highlighted the necessity for unifying official and community efforts to confront the challenges facing the country, particularly the economic war. Al-Mansouri encouraged participants to benefit from the course content, apply it in practice, and support targeted families in establishing projects funded by small loans.

Meanwhile, the head of the National Women's Committee in the governorate, Afrah Al-Azzani, explained that the course aims to train finance officers for small projects on loan provision skills and electronic systems, as well as to promote the establishment of small enterprises that contribute to supporting families and strengthening the local economy. She noted that these activities are part of the committee's efforts to enhance women's economic empowerment, spread a culture of production and self-sufficiency in society, implement an integrated national program aimed at assessing the needs of businesswomen and productive families, while creating a supportive environment for achieving economic independence.
