Hodeida: Four children were seriously injured on Saturday when an unexploded ordnance left over from the Saudi-led aggression detonated in al-Durayhimi district of Hodeida governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, a local source in al-Durayhimi reported that the incident occurred in al-Mukayminiyah village, al-Munafirah sub-district. The explosion seriously injured four siblings: Ammar Omar Yahya (10 years old), Yahya Omar Yahya (9 years old), Juma'a Omar Yahya, and Hanadi Omar Yahya. The children sustained injuries to their limbs, legs, and other parts of their bodies.
The source noted that the injured children were transported to the hospital for necessary first aid. The incident highlights the ongoing threat posed by explosive remnants of war, which continue to jeopardize the lives of civilians, especially children, in residential areas, villages, and farms.
