Al-Bayda University Council Reviews Academic Strategies and Prepares for Upcoming Scientific Conference

Al-bayda: The Council of Al-Bayda University convened a meeting chaired by the Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, alongside University President Dr. Ahmed Al-'Arami, to evaluate academic performance and strategize for the university's Seventh Scientific Conference.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included Deputy Governor Nasser Al-'Ajji, faculty deans, and members of the teaching staff. Key topics discussed were the needs and preparations for new colleges and departments and methods of collaboration with the local authority to enhance the university's academic and scientific contributions to the community.

The Council approved the introduction of the SAR system for managing student grades starting this semester. This system is officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education. A phased plan was also adopted to expand its use and provide staff training.

The meeting further assessed the report from the Sixth Scientific Conference, commending its successes and recommending that its outcomes be transformed into actionable strategies. Additionally, the first semester examinations report was discussed, focusing on the consistency of the teaching process, resolving challenges, enhancing exam organization, and reviewing recommendations from the Academic Affairs Council regarding promotions, adjustments, and appointments, ensuring alignment with the university's strategic plan.
