Bayda: Students at Bayda University held a rally on Wednesday denouncing ongoing massacres, starvation, and aggression by the Zionist entity in Gaza, while commemorating the 11th anniversary of the 21 September Revolution.
According to Yemen News Agency, the march was led by Bayda governor Abdullah Idris, Deputy Governor Nasser al-Aji, and University Rector Dr. Ahmed Al-Arami. Participants raised the Yemeni and Palestinian flags and chanted slogans affirming Yemen's unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause and condemning Israeli actions in Gaza.
Participants emphasized Yemen's commitment to Palestine as both a religious and humanitarian duty. They expressed pride in the 21 September Revolution for restoring the authority of the people and national sovereignty, reflecting the awareness of the younger generation of regional challenges.
Governor Abdullah Idris highlighted that the revolution restored Yemen's political decision-making, reinforced its historical stature, strengthened its religious identity, and bolstered Yemen's principled positions in support of Gaza and Palestine. He noted that the revolution liberated Yemen from foreign domination and rejected subservience to global powers such as the United States and Israel.
University President Dr. Ahmed al-Arami affirmed that the revolution enhanced national independence, solidified the religious identity, and enabled Yemenis to resist external aggression. He stressed Yemen's continued support for the Palestinian people and the Islamic nation until victory and liberation of the holy sites.
A statement issued at the rally reaffirmed Yemen's support for Palestinians against the ongoing Israeli onslaught, condemned efforts by certain regimes to secure navigation for Israeli interests, and warned against attempts to weaken Yemen's internal stance.
The statement also called on Yemeni, Arab, and Islamic universities to promote research and seminars exposing the Zionist background of U.S. policies, raising awareness of the true nature of the conflict and the dangers of the current stage.
