Al-Dhikr Al-Hakim Radio Begins Official Broadcast in Sana’a

Sana'a:The General Authority for Endowments and Guidance has officially launched Al-Dhikr Al-Hakim Radio on 97.7 FM in Sana'a. This comes after three years of trial broadcasting, aiming to bolster Quranic culture and enhance the Quran's role in society.

According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti highlighted the significance of Quran radio stations in fostering faith-based identity and religious awareness. He noted the emergence of misconceptions and cultural practices that have led segments of Yemeni society away from their religious roots, emphasizing the ministry's commitment to tackling challenges faced by media outlets that embody Yemeni identity and culture.

Dr. Al-Bukhaiti urged businesspeople and relevant parties to support Quranic media initiatives and expand public awareness efforts. Meanwhile, Allama Abdulmajid Al-Houthi, Head of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, underscored the importance of adhering to the Holy Quran and integrating its teachings into various facets of life, such as family, work, and society, to reinforce faith-based values.

Mohammed Al-Somali, the authority's Media Director, stated that the official launch is part of a broader effort to expand Quranic outreach through modern media. Plans are underway to invite Quran reciters to contribute to the station, enhancing its content and performance. Additionally, there are plans to transform the studio into a media center focused on endowments and to extend broadcasts beyond Sana'a to other governorates.
