This advancement came after their 3-2 victory over the late Mohammed Salba team in Group B, bringing their total to four points and placing them at the top of the group. The late Salba team remains at zero points.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Hilal Al-Ahmar's goals were scored by Mohammed Mashhour, who netted two goals, and Bassam Badidi, who added another. The late Salba team's goal came from Mohammed Al-Haks, with an additional own goal by Mutab Al-Hajouri contributing to their defeat.
In the ongoing tournament, Group A will see Al-Tahadi face Shabab Tihama. The winner of this match will advance to join the Martyr Abu Abdel team in the semi-finals. A draw in this match would favor Shabab Tihama. Meanwhile, in Group B, the Gaza team will compete against the late Mohammed Salba team. A draw would suffice for Gaza to join Al-Hilal Al-Ahmar in the semi-finals, while a win is necessary for the late Salba team to qualify.
In volleyball, Al-Hilal Al-Ahmar also achieved success by qualifying for the championship final. They will face Al-Ahli after defeating Shabab Kahlan Afar in straight sets.
