Al-hodeidah: Industrial, Investment, and Trade Sectors hold event marking Prophet's Birthday: The Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment, the Industrial Zone, the Chamber of Commerce, and the local branch of the Investment Authority in Al-Hodeidah Governorate organized a commemorative event marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him and his family) birth under the slogan 'At Your Service, O Messenger of Allah.'
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, Governor of Al-Hodeidah Abdullah Atifi reviewed aspects of the Prophet's noble biography and the role of Yemenis in supporting the Messenger of Islam since the dawn of the Islamic era. He stressed that commemorating this occasion sends a renewed message of deep attachment to the Prophet's path and his great values of love, mercy, and justice. It also embodies the Yemeni people's commitment to their authentic faith-based identity and their readiness to defend their principles regardless of challenges and circumstances.
The governor noted that this year's commemoration comes amid ongoing crimes of genocide, starvation, and siege targeting the Palestinian people in Gaza, alongside global betrayal and complicity-with the exception of Yemen's honorable stance in supporting the Palestinian cause and adhering to the principles of the Prophet's message. Atifi praised the efforts of the Office of Economy, the Investment Authority, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Industrial Zone for organizing the event in a manner that reflects the deep significance of the occasion in the hearts of Yemenis.
He urged executive offices and institutions to maintain the momentum of activities celebrating the Prophet's birthday as a reflection of unity and sincere adherence to his message, emphasizing the importance of expanding events to cover all districts and cultural, social, and service sectors. The governor also commended the leadership of Revolutionary Leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi in facing challenges, his embodiment of steadfastness and courage in defending the causes of the Ummah, and his role in keeping the nation's focus on central issues-foremost among them the Palestinian cause-reflecting his deep awareness and historical responsibility toward the Islamic nation.
He called on all to strengthen social solidarity and collective work to uphold the principles brought by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), noting that living by these values in daily life builds a cohesive society capable of confronting challenges and preserving national unity against aggression and blockade.
The event, attended by Deputy Governor Mohammed Halisi and Police Chief Major General Aziz al-Jaradi, also featured remarks from Deputy Head of the Yemeni Cement Industry and Marketing Corporation Dr. Mahdi al-Hawri, who said the commemoration reflects the Yemeni people's awareness and loyalty to the Prophet's values, reinforcing unity in the face of current challenges. Director of the Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment Saleh Atifah stated that the event is part of the programs and activities organized by executive offices in celebration of the Prophet's birthday. He explained that the occasion serves as a spiritual milestone to deepen the connection to the Prophet's biography and draw lessons for managing life's affairs with responsibility and commitment.
Atifah noted that marking the Prophet's birthday holds profound meaning for Yemenis-it is not merely a religious celebration but an opportunity to renew the pledge to uphold the values and principles he brought, strengthen community responsibility, and consolidate faith-based identity. He added that the occasion is a chance to recall Yemen's honorable history in championing justice, affirming that Yemen's current support for the Palestinian people against the Zionist enemy is a natural extension of its faith heritage. He stressed that Yemen's connection to the Palestinian cause stems from the core of the Prophet's message, which made defending the oppressed and protecting holy sites a religious and moral duty that allows no compromise.
For his part, Head of the Scholars' Unit in Al-Hodeidah Sheikh Saleh al-Harazi said that celebrating the Prophet's birthday is an expression of loyalty to his message, adherence to his Sunnah and upright path, and a renewal of the pledge to follow his example in establishing justice and mercy while strengthening the principles of brotherhood and unity among the Ummah. He emphasized that Yemenis were among the earliest supporters of the Prophet and the first to respond to his call, and they will remain faithful to his values and determined to defend the just causes of the Ummah-foremost among them protecting Islamic holy sites.
