Sana'a: Al-Jazeera College of Medical and Technical Sciences in Sana'a held a commemorative event on Monday marking the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. Speaking at the event, attended by Parliament member Ahmed Al-Kawkabani, Higher Education representative Yahya Al-Da'ani said the annual commemoration provides an opportunity to draw inspiration from the Prophet's life, values, morals, and principles, which he upheld and sacrificed for to establish the foundations of Islam and its values.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event emphasized the importance of recalling the Prophet's character, life, sacrifices, and struggle. The occasion aims to reaffirm adherence to his approach and strengthen the faith-based identity among younger generations. Al-Jazeera College Dean Dr. Hashem Al-Maghribi highlighted aspects of the Prophet's life, character, virtues, principles, patience, courage, struggle, and positions against polytheism and hypocrisy.
Dr. Al-Maghribi stressed the role of educational institutions in raising youth awareness and acquainting them with lessons from the Prophet's life. He also addressed the repeated shortcomings that have contributed to the nation's defeats and failures in confronting adversaries. Speeches by Dr. Tayeb Al-Tayeb, representing the teaching staff, mobilization official Al-Karrar Al-Razami, and student Maram Al-Azab reviewed the Prophet's life and principles, discussing ways to draw on them in confronting the country's challenges and resisting tyrants, oppressors, and arrogant powers.
