Al-Mahwit:Discussions were held on Sunday in Al-Mahwit governorate focusing on the workflow at the local branch of the General Authority for Land, Survey, and Urban Planning. The meeting was overseen by governorate undersecretary Hussein Arkad.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included the Deputy Director of the Authority's branch, Naji Al-Holi, and concentrated on evaluating administrative and financial performance along with handling issues related to state-owned lands and real estate.
The meeting also examined the tasks and methodology of a committee assigned to visit the Authority's branch. This includes gathering necessary data and documents to facilitate a comprehensive evaluation process.
The Deputy Governor stressed the importance of implementing strong measures to safeguard state lands and real estate from encroachment. He called for the activation of the committee's role in monitoring state assets, resolving outstanding issues, and enhancing public revenue.
Arkad instructed the Authority's branch to supply the committee with essential documents and data, including records of state lands and real estate, actions taken, pending court cases, and other relevant information for a thorough evaluation.
Al-Holi outlined the branch's operational plan, emphasizing the prevention of unauthorized developments and the handling of related legal issues. He proposed strategies to improve performance, enhance citizen services, and increase the Authority's revenue.
He reiterated the branch's commitment to cooperating with the committee, aiding its tasks, and ensuring access to necessary documents and data to review the status of state lands and properties effectively.
