Al-Mahwit City Holds Cultural Evenings to Commemorate Prophet’s Birthday

Al-mahwit: Hijrat Al-Dawaer and Al-Dhabr areas in Al-Mahwit City held on Saturday two cultural evenings to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, highlighting his life, values, and teachings.

According to Yemen News Agency, at the evening held in Hijrat Al-Dawaer, Province undersecretary Abdul-Salam Al-Dhamari stressed the importance of commemorating the religious occasion, which he said reflects the Prophet Muhammad's place in the hearts of Muslims and provides an opportunity for new generations to learn about his life, principles, and values that established a society based on justice, mercy, and solidarity.

He described the Prophet's birthday as a religious and cultural occasion for strengthening attachment to the Prophet, following his example, and promoting cooperation, brotherhood, and social solidarity. He called for drawing lessons from the Prophet's life and raising awareness of the values and principles he brought.

For his part, Director of the Governorate's Office of Economy and Industry Mohammed Al-Nazili said commemorating the Prophet's birthday reflects deep love and loyalty to the Prophet and demonstrates Yemenis' adherence to their religious and cultural identity. He stressed the importance of using the occasion to promote responsibility, compassion, solidarity, and community service, while emulating the Prophet's conduct and dealings with others.

Cultural activist Yahya Al-Wad'i said the commemoration represents an expression of love for the Prophet and a renewal of commitment to following his path and upholding his values and principles. He emphasized the role of cultural and awareness-raising activities in strengthening religious and community awareness.

Meanwhile, at the evening held in Al-Dhabr area, including the villages of Bayt Al-Kurdi, Bani Al-Salihi, and Bayt Anqa, Member of the Al-Mahwit City Local Council Mohammed Hubaish stressed the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday and drawing lessons from his life while strengthening adherence to his teachings, values, and morals. He said the occasion reflects the Prophet's prominent place in the hearts of the Yemeni people and their commitment to their religious and cultural identity, as well as strengthening social solidarity and cohesion.

Al-Mahwit City Mobilization Officer Ibrahim Al-Wad'i highlighted the importance of using the occasion to raise community awareness and reinforce values of steadfastness and resilience. He praised residents' participation in activities marking the Prophet's birthday.

Residents of the two areas expressed their pride in commemorating the Prophet's birthday and reaffirmed their continued participation in related activities. They also called on members of the community to actively participate in the governorate's central event. The two evenings featured speeches, poems, chants, and prophetic praises celebrating the significance of the occasion.
