Al-Mahwit:The Deputy Governor of Al-Mahwit, Mohamed Al-Qarm, has examined the ongoing progress of community-funded road construction in the Bani Al-Waleed area, Jabal Al-Mahwit District.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project to open and pave the Shaab Al-Aqab road is over 60 percent complete. This road is expected to benefit nearly half the population of Wadi Hawar by improving connectivity among several villages, thus facilitating transportation and emergency access, as well as aiding in the movement and marketing of agricultural products like maize and mangoes.
Al-Qarm commended the efforts of the residents for advancing the construction of the approximately two-kilometer road despite challenging terrain and conditions. He urged the relevant authorities to support the initiative by providing necessary resources. He emphasized that such community-led projects showcase local cooperation and solidarity, which can enhance access to services and markets and support local development.
