Al-Hodeida:The Red Sea Ports Corporation, along with the Tax and Customs Authority and the Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization, announced the implementation of reduced-rate concessions for importers using the seaports in Al-Hodeida Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, these concessions are being executed following directives from the President of the Supreme Political Council and the Acting Prime Minister. The aim is to motivate the commercial and industrial sectors to utilize Al-Hodeida's seaports and to encourage importers to avoid the high and illegal fees imposed at ports controlled by the Saudi occupation and its mercenaries.
The concessions offer reductions of up to 50 percent on fees for ships, containers, taxes, and other charges, effective from October 1, 2026. The reductions apply to goods and container vessels utilizing these seaports.
The joint statement urged shipping agents and importers to capitalize on these benefits by routing their imports through Al-Hodeida's seaports. It also advised them to contact the Red Sea Ports Corporation, the Tax and Customs Authority, or YSMO to confirm the requirements for obtaining these approved concessions, as detailed in the joint decision issued by the Ministers of Transport and Public Works; Finance; and Economy, Industry, and Investment.
