Hifan: Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawi, inspected a number of community initiative projects in Hifan District. Al-Masawi, accompanied by key officials including Engineer Bakil Hameed, Brigadier General Mohamed Al-Khaled, and Brigadier General Shukri Mahyoub, reviewed the ongoing rehabilitation of the Hifan-Al-Khazjah-Tur Al-Baha-Aden asphalt road, a project spearheaded by the Hail Saeed Anam Group.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Masawi highlighted the purpose of his visit to Hifan District as a means to monitor the progress of the community-led road rehabilitation project. He noted the continuous work on the vital route, which includes protective measures and the construction of retaining walls. Expressing gratitude to those managing the initiative, especially the Hail Saeed Anam Group, Al-Masawi commended the high pace of work facilitated by local teams and urged for more service and development initiatives to ease the citizens' hardships.
Engineer Hameed, the Public Works Director, stressed the significance of the visit, emphasizing the long-standing challenges faced by vehicle and truck owners due to the road's previous condition. He acknowledged the support from the Hail Saeed Anam Group in implementing the road project, which involves building protective structures, repairing asphalt surfaces, and reconstructing sections with reinforced concrete. Hameed underscored the importance of following engineering standards and technical frameworks in executing the project.
Sheikh Abdelghafour Al-Aghbari, representing Hifan's Elders, welcomed Al-Masawi's visit, noting the previous dangers the road posed to lives and property. Additionally, the Acting Governor, along with officials, inspected the health center in Khudeir to assess its medical services and reviewed the security operations in Khudeir District, receiving updates on public order from Colonel Essam Sabr.
