European Stocks Rise Supported by Technology, Heavy Industry Shares

Muscat: European stocks rose slightly on Wednesday, led by technology and heavy industry stocks, as global investor appetite improved, offsetting a wave of mixed corporate news. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose by 0.2% to 576.84 points, the German DAX index climbed by 0.3% to reach 23784.18 points, the British FTSE 100 index stabilized at 9694.58 points, and the French CAC index stabilized at 8075.81 points. According to Yemen News Agency, technology sector stocks were the most supportive of the index, putting it on track to extend its gains for the fourth consecutive session. They were followed by industrial sector stocks, with defense stocks leading the gains with a 1% increase, as Rheinmetall shares rose by 2.1% and Leonardo shares by 1.2%.
