Taiz: Acting Taiz governor Ahmed al-Masawi, along with the province's mobilization officer Mohammed al-Khalidi and deputy security director Brigadier General Abd Rabbuh al-Haj, conducted an inspection of the Civil Defense branch.
According to Yemen News Agency, the officials were briefed on the staff's readiness and the technical equipment available at the Civil Defense branch to handle emergencies. They assessed the expertise of the team in firefighting, rescue operations, and other crucial tasks. Al-Masawi stressed the significance of maintaining a high level of readiness both in terms of personnel and equipment to effectively manage any mission.
During the visit, they were joined by Assistant Director of Security Colonel Saleh Duwaid, Director of Planning and Organization Colonel Zuhair Khasrouf, and Director of the Civil Defense Department, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Sultan. The delegation also visited Al-Hawban Zoo to review its operations and visitor engagement.
They received a report from the park's director, Marzouq al-Halimi, regarding the zoo's condition and improvements made, such as the rehabilitation of animal shelters and visitor rest areas. Al-Halimi acknowledged the support from the governorate's leadership and the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, noting that the park attracted over 45,000 visitors during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
