Al-Thawra District: Al-Nahda neighborhood team emerged victorious in the football league for students of summer courses held in Al-Thawra District, located within the capital Secretariat.
According to Yemen News Agency, the league was organized by the Youth and Sports Office and the Educational Zone in the district, in collaboration with Al-Sha'ab Social Foundation. The event was supervised by the Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses, featuring six teams divided into two groups. Al-Nahda clinched the title after a seven-day competition, defeating Al-Ghuraf neighborhood team 4-2 in the final match.
The closing ceremony witnessed the presence of the district director, Aqeel Al-Saqqaf, the deputy director of the Youth Office in the Secretariat, Zaid Jahaf, the mobilization official in the district, Saddam Al-Hababi, and the director of the Youth Office in the district, Mohammed Al-Mutawakkil. They honored the Al-Nahda team with the championship trophy, while the teams of Al-Ghuraf and Al-Hasaba Al-Shamaliya received colored medals.
Al-Saqqaf and Al-Hababi highlighted the significance of summer activities and courses in fostering a generation knowledgeable in science, culture, and Quranic teachings, in addition to nurturing students' talents and creativity. Al-Mutawakkil also noted that 90 players from summer school students across various neighborhoods in Al-Thawra District participated in the league. The goal was to form a district team for the upcoming capital-level championship.
