Amran: A tribal reconciliation in Amran Governorate today resolved a 10-year-old murder case between the Al-Shahri clan from the Hajur tribes in Hajjah Governorate and the Al-Ziyad clan from Amran. During the mediation attended by MP Mohammed Al-Bakri, Secretary-General of the local authority Saleh Al-Makhlous, and the two deputy governors Abdulaziz Abu Khurfaisha and Amin Faras, the family of the victim, Ahmed Abdo Qurou' Al-Shahri, announced their pardon of the perpetrator, Mohammed Ali Ziyad from Shahara, purely for the sake of God, in honor of those present, and in response to the call of the Revolution's Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, to promote reconciliation.
According to Yemen News Agency, speakers stressed that resolving the case strengthens unity among Yemenis, rejects disputes, and helps communities rise above wounds. They noted the reconciliation reflects the leadership's commitment to ending cycles of revenge among Yemeni tribes, families, and regions, reinforcing cohesion in confronting the enemy targeting Yemen's land and people.
They added that the noble tribal stance shown by the Hajur tribes of Hajjah sends a clear message to adversaries and their agents: Yemenis are willing to make concessions to one another to protect social fabric, strengthen unity, and fortify the internal front amid the current challenges facing the country.
The reconciliation was attended by the Director of Security in the governorate, Brig. Gen. Naif Abu Khurfaisha, the Director of the Security and Intelligence Service, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Al-Khoulani, the Secretary-General of the Kushar District Local Council, Ali Musleh Al-Shahri, and a number of sheikhs and dignitaries from the Hajour tribes in Hajjah and Al-Ahnoum in Amran.
