Al-Nasr School Project Inaugurated in Jabal Yazid District

Amran: Al-Nasr School in the al-Akahoum area, Jabal Yazid district, was officially launched by Amran governor Dr. Faisal Juma'an. The project, valued at 50 million Yemeni rials, was funded by a local philanthropist with additional contributions from the community.

According to Yemen News Agency, the school project includes a two-story building with six classrooms, necessary facilities, and a surrounding wall. Additionally, two classrooms in the existing school building have been rehabilitated. During the inauguration, Dr. Juma'an expressed gratitude towards the philanthropist and highlighted the significance of the community's involvement in making the district an example of participatory development and cooperative work.

The inauguration was attended by District Director Samir al-Dhayani and Director of Initiatives in the governorate, Hashem Al-Raidi. Dr. Juma'an emphasized the importance of such projects in enhancing educational infrastructure and committed the local authority's support by providing school supplies and furniture. He appealed to philanthropists to support community initiatives, particularly given the current circumstances.

District Director Samir al-Dhayani remarked that this project illustrates the community's spirit of solidarity and cooperation. Mansour Al-Dhawi, the district's education sector official, mentioned that the project will alleviate the educational burden on students from the area and nearby villages. The school is set to serve up to the ninth grade, expanding from its previous capacity of only up to the sixth grade, with the necessary teaching staff to be appointed.
