Sana'a: A field oversight committee in the capital Sana'a reviewed the performance of local authorities and agricultural associations in al-Haymah al-Dakhiliyah district as part of efforts to assess service delivery and institutional efficiency.
According to Yemen News Agency, a field monitoring committee in Sana'a Governorate, led by the Secretary-General of the Local Council Abdulqader al-Jilani, conducted a visit to evaluate the performance of local authorities and agricultural associations in Al-Haymah Al-Dakhiliyah District. The committee, which included officials from the initiatives office, sanitation and improvement, administrative secretariat, and the agricultural sector, began its tasks by inspecting the government complex building, its annexes, equipment, and needs for rehabilitation.
The primary aim of the visit is to improve service delivery to citizens and strengthen direct links with relevant government entities. The committee's activities included a review of the administrative situation, the performance level of executive and service offices, identification of challenges hindering project implementation, and an assessment of security performance within the district's police administration.
During the visit, an expanded meeting chaired by al-Jilani was held. It was attended by District Director Kamal Al-Askari, Mobilization Official Mukhtar Al-Sayyaghi, leaders of executive and security offices, agricultural associations, and several local dignitaries. The meeting focused on discussing performance levels, enhancing strengths, addressing shortcomings, and overcoming challenges affecting workflow across various entities.
Key issues concerning community interests were also addressed, with the presence of deputy directors from the health, finance, civil service, and education offices, alongside local council representatives and agricultural cooperative leaders. The district director provided an overview of the general situation, including service and development aspects at both official and community levels, while heads of executive offices presented reports on their achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.
The meeting emphasized the importance of prioritizing citizens' needs and meeting essential service requirements, particularly in water, roads, healthcare, education, and agriculture. It also highlighted the need for mobilizing community participation through cooperative initiatives to advance development. Al-Jilani underscored the importance of strengthening partnerships between official institutions and the community, calling for active engagement with public mobilization efforts and preparedness to address emerging challenges and requirements.
