Sana'a: The Deputy Ministers of Health and Environment, Dr. Nasher Al-Qoud, and Electricity, Energy and Water, Adel Bader, along with Taiz Acting Governor Ahmed Al-Masawi, have conducted an inspection visit to the strategic Mokha Airport and Port to assess operations and readiness at these key facilities.
According to Yemen News Agency, the officials, joined by Brig. Gen. Mohammed Yahya Al-Khaled, Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region, evaluated the necessary steps to activate the facilities and enhance their operational readiness. This initiative aims to bolster economic and service activities within the district. During the visit, Al-Masawi highlighted the strategic and economic significance of Mokha Port and Airport, underscoring their role as vital national assets. He emphasized the importance of maintaining these facilities in a state of readiness to serve the citizens effectively.
Al-Masawi noted that the reopening of Mokha Airport is a critical step in restoring the geographical unity and natural connectivity of the Taiz province, thereby benefiting its residents. He credited the liberation of Mokha Port to the sacrifices made by the armed forces and Yemeni fighters, as well as the leadership directives from Revolutionary Leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and the political leadership.
The officials also visited the Mokha Steam Power Station, where they were updated on its current operating status, technical requirements, and ongoing efforts to improve the electricity system's efficiency. Al-Masawi commended the Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Water for their dedication to enhancing the services available to the residents of Mokha and the broader Taiz region.
