US-Saudi-Emirati Airstrikes Cause Devastation Across Yemen Over Multiple Years

Sana'a: The US-Saudi-Emirati coalition has been carrying out aggressive airstrikes across various Yemeni governorates on September 11 each year, resulting in numerous casualties and widespread destruction of infrastructure and homes. These attacks have caused significant loss of life and property damage, affecting both public and private sectors. According to Yemen News Agency, on September 11, 2015, the coalition's airstrikes in Marib Governorate resulted in the deaths of three women from the same family, while further airstrikes in Ibb Governorate led to one death and six injuries. Additional strikes were carried out in Saada Governorate, causing injuries and extensive damage to homes. The coalition also targeted areas in Sana'a Governorate, destroying critical infrastructure such as bridges and homes. The following year, on September 11, 2016, the coalition's aircraft targeted educational facilities in Taiz Governorate, causing extensive damage to school buildings. Multiple airstrikes in Al-Bayda and Jiz an further exacerbated the situation, leading to widespread destruction of homes and property. In 2017, airstrikes in Saada Governorate resulted in three deaths, while significant damage was reported in Hajjah, Sana'a, and Taiz governorates due to the coalition's continued aggression. The pattern of destruction persisted in subsequent years. On September 11, 2018, airstrikes caused significant damage across Hajjah and Saada governorates, and in 2019, similar attacks continued, targeting areas in Saada and Al Hodeida governorates. The attacks led to further casualties and destruction of civilian homes. The aggression continued into 2020 and 2021, with airstrikes and artillery shelling resulting in deaths and injuries, particularly in Marib and Al Hodeida governorates. These attacks not only caused human casualties but also led to severe damage to infrastructure and agricultural lands. Most recently, on September 11, 2023, the coalition's mercenaries established fortifications and shelled various areas in A l Hodeida Governorate, continuing the cycle of violence and destruction. The relentless attacks have drawn widespread condemnation and have highlighted the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
