Sana'a: Al-Qudaimi Secondary School for Islamic Sciences for Girls, in the capital city of Sana'a, held a ceremony to honor its first graduating class at the end of the 1447 AH academic year, under the slogan "A Quranic Path and Building Faith."
According to Yemen News Agency, the school's principal, Ahlam Al-Houthi, explained that the mission of the Islamic Sciences Secondary School extends beyond academic achievement to include strengthening intellectual, religious, and cultural aspects. She emphasized the importance of instilling a strong faith in students and refining their scientific and practical skills to graduate generations qualified to be active and productive members of their society. She noted that these students would be aware of their responsibilities towards their religion and nation and capable of confronting intellectual challenges targeting the nation's identity and values.
Al-Houthi further stressed that for the school, the Holy Quran is not just a subject of study but a comprehensive way of life that nurtures souls, refines behavior, and instills values of patience, dignity, and steadfastness. She urged students to view the Quran as a guiding light and emphasized that adhering to its teachings is the best way to protect young minds from destructive ideologies.
The ceremony featured speeches congratulating students on their graduation and success, highlighting the blessings achieved through their Quranic journey. The speakers affirmed the value of the Quran as a unifying force and a foundation for progress, urging graduates to be mindful of surrounding challenges and to increase their dedication to their faith.
The event also included recitations and the honoring of outstanding students and graduates, celebrating the pivotal role of these schools in preparing a unique Quranic generation equipped to build the future with a foundation of Quranic culture and enlightened awareness.
