Al-Raheda Customs Center Foils Major Medicine Smuggling Attempt

Al-Raheda: Al-Raheda Customs Center in Taiz governorate, in cooperation with the Anti-Smuggling Unit, successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a significant quantity of medicines.

According to Yemen News Agency, Center Director Mohammed al-Jebri revealed that the seized medicines, found on board a vehicle, included 35,315 strips and ampoules, comprising 45 different types. Al-Jebri highlighted that drug smuggling poses a substantial threat to citizens' health and the national economy. He commended the efforts of the Anti-Smuggling Unit in Taiz for their role in preventing smuggling activities, not only limited to medicines but also involving various other goods.

Al-Jebri assured that the center remains committed to its responsibilities, actively working to seize prohibited and smuggled goods and merchandise.
