Sana'a: Prime Minister Ahmed Obaid Al-Rahwi underscored the critical role of district directors in engaging local communities and spearheading initiatives across production, development, and construction sectors. During a meeting with directors participating in a workshop organized by the Ministry of Administration and Local and Rural Development, Al-Rahwi highlighted the significance of integrating local communities into the planning processes. He stressed that their active involvement is essential for fostering development and construction, positioning them as key contributors to vital sectors that drive social and economic progress.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Rahwi advocated for decentralizing local administration and development efforts, pushing them toward grassroots levels and their institutional frameworks. He also extended congratulations to the Yemeni people on the cessation of American aggression against Yemen, crediting divine will and decisive leadership for compelling the enemy to halt hostilities. The Prime Minister emphasized Yemen's unity, warning against separatist agendas and divisive schemes that serve only to benefit Yemen's adversaries.
Al-Rahwi instructed the directors, emphasizing the importance of local development work that hinges on their presence and daily efforts. He urged them to strengthen community ties, understand their districts' productive and industrial potential, and master development and business management. He highlighted the experience of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development, Mohammed Al-Madani, in supporting local authorities in value chains, production, and rural development.
Directors were encouraged to focus on resource development legally to aid their tasks in advancing community initiatives. Al-Rahwi stressed the importance of adherence to hierarchical structures in local and central relations and emphasized continuous performance evaluations for directors, with rewards and recognition based on their field contributions. He expressed his wishes for their success as active tools for development.
Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Al-Madani welcomed the Prime Minister's visit and highlighted the workshop's importance in comprehensive integrated planning and training for the 1447 AH executive mechanism. Al-Madani reiterated the directors' responsibility in enhancing local production through value chains, emphasizing that the next phase requires community and private sector involvement to achieve the desired developmental goals.
