Yafai and Abbad Launch “Gaza’s Cry” Training Workshop and Art Exhibition in Capital

Sanaa: Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Ali Yafai and the Secretary-General of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud Abbad, inaugurated a training workshop and art exhibition titled "Gaza's Cry" for students of summer schools in the Capital Secretariat. The event, which spans two days, is organized by the Fine Arts Sector of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in collaboration with the Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses, with funding from the Heritage and Cultural Development Fund.

According to Yemen News Agency, the inauguration was attended by the First Undersecretary of the Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, and the Head of the Fine Arts Sector, Khaled Al-Junaid. The exhibition showcases creative paintings by students, depicting the crimes committed by Zionist occupiers against the people of Gaza, the resistance's fortitude, and Yemen's support for Palestine.

During the event, Dr. Yafai highlighted the purpose of the workshop and exhibition in embedding anti-oppression ideas among the youth and underscored the significance of resistance in realizing these concepts. He emphasized the role of such initiatives in nurturing young artistic talent and reinforcing faith-based identity, aligning with the directives of the revolutionary leadership and Supreme Political Council.

Dr. Yafai also commended the Heritage and Cultural Development Fund for its financial backing and praised the organizers for their efforts. He stressed art's ability to shape ideas and express national and pan-Arab issues, particularly emphasizing the resistance's role in combating threats to national values and identity.

Dr. Abbad and Mr. Al-Madani expressed admiration for the students' artworks, which powerfully convey the Palestinian cause. They noted that fine art serves as a significant form of expression, reflecting human emotions and acting as a cultural tool to promote resistance and identity development.
