Sana'a: Prime Minister Ahmed Ghalib Al-Rahwi praised the humanitarian initiatives of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, highlighting its significant efforts to preserve endowment properties, lands, and address the substantial backlogs caused by past neglect.
According to Yemen News Agency, this commendation came during Al-Rahwi's participation with the Authority and its offices in the Capital Secretariat and Sana'a Governorate in launching the fourth phase of the 'Cooperate in Righteousness and Piety' project, with a budget of three billion riyals, and the launch of the 'Tashil' initiative. Both initiatives target various endowment purposes and charitable activities, coinciding with the celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) birthday.
The Prime Minister affirmed his support and encouragement for the Authority in such initiatives and its efforts to address the accumulated neglect that had affected endowment properties and funds. He commended the Authority's leadership and staff for efficiently utilizing resources and recovering numerous endowment properties and rights in the Capital Secretariat and other governorates.
He emphasized the symbolic importance of holding the inauguration at the Orphanage Care Center, noting that orphans deserve continuous attention, care, and encouragement from public institutions, private entities, and society at large, as well as access to education at all levels.
Al-Rahwi noted that Yemenis' celebrations continue as preparations are underway for the central event marking the Prophet's birthday on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal, an occasion that holds a high and sacred place in the hearts of Yemenis.
He also reiterated strong condemnation of the ongoing crimes of genocide and starvation committed by the Israeli enemy against the people of Gaza, highlighting that these aggressions have escalated due to continued regional and international silence.
The Prime Minister stressed that the Israeli enemy must understand that Yemen, under the leadership of Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badreddin Al-Houthi and the Supreme Political Council chaired by Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, alongside the free Yemeni people, will not cease supporting the people of Gaza and its heroic resistance fighters until the aggression and blockade are stopped.
He extended his salute to the armed forces, including missile, naval, and drone units, as well as various formations, for their heroism during this pivotal stage in Yemen's history, alongside the security apparatus for its tireless efforts in maintaining stability and thwarting enemy conspiracies, particularly those linked to Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
At the inauguration, attended by Supreme Court Judge Dr. Mohammed Al-Dailami and Diplomatic Advisor to the Supreme Political Council Ambassador Abdulilah Hajar, the Authority's President, scholar Abdulmajid Al-Houthi, stated that involving society, particularly orphans, in the Prophet's birthday celebrations and alleviating their suffering is a true embodiment of the values and principles of Islam.
He stressed that the Prophet's birthday should serve as a time for charity and addressing societal needs, following the directives of the Revolution's leader, and to associate the occasion with joy, happiness, and the services provided by institutions to the resilient Yemeni people.
Al-Houthi highlighted the importance of caring for orphans, noting that the Prophet himself was an orphan, making him a model not only for orphans but for all Muslims. He emphasized the esteemed position of orphan sponsors and caregivers, likening it to the status of the prophets.
He explained that the Authority is committed to supporting orphans according to its capabilities and called on all parties to assist orphans in obtaining their basic rights, including food, water, and medicine, which they have been deprived of, urging official bodies, traders, and businessmen to contribute to projects and initiatives for orphans.
The Authority today launched the fourth phase of the 'Cooperate in Righteousness and Piety' project, costing three billion riyals, covering orphans and all other beneficiary groups. Al-Houthi also announced the 'Tashil' initiative, aimed at easing citizens' repayment of previous debts to the Authority and enabling them to rectify their situations, offering significant benefits and discounts, initially in the Capital Secretariat and Sana'a Governorate.
Meanwhile, Orphanage Care Center Director Ahmed Al-Khazan called on all parties to support the orphans residing at the center, noting the challenges in providing for their needs. He underlined that celebrating the Prophet's birthday is an important occasion to embody Islamic values through acts of charity, assistance, and addressing the needs of disadvantaged groups, particularly orphans.
Al-Khazan praised the contributions of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance in supporting the orphanage, emphasizing the responsibility of all to meet the needs of this vital segment of society.
