Sana'a: Speaker of Parliament Yahya al-Ra'i, acting Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah, and Capital Sana'a Mayor Dr. Hamoud Ubad inspected the ongoing rehabilitation and restoration of Khawlan Street in the al-Sabeen district. This initiative is locally funded and aims to enhance the area's infrastructure.
According to Yemen News Agency, the officials assessed the progress of asphalt works and concrete sections on the deteriorated parts of the street. The project is 40 percent complete and has an allocated budget of YR 400 million. The inspection also included the second phase of the main sewer transmission line along Khawlan Street, which is set to improve environmental conditions.
The officials received updates on completed asphalt works, which cover an area of 4,000 square meters, and the construction of three concrete bridges. They were assured that the work is advancing rapidly. The leadership commended the efforts of Sana'a Municipality and emphasized the importance of sustaining essential service projects, particularly infrastructure developments, despite the nation's challenging circumstances.
