Sana'a: Minister of Education Dr. Hasan Al-Sa'adi, Mayor of the Capital Dr. Humood Ubad, and Rector of Sana'a University Dr. Mohammad Al-Bukhaiti inaugurated a charitable cafeteria project to provide subsidized meals for students residing in university dormitories, coinciding with preparations for the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid Al-Nabawi).
According to Yemen News Agency, the leadership, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Hatem Al-Du'ais and other university officials, inspected the new facility. The project is part of the university's strategy to enhance student services, alleviate living costs, and foster a supportive academic environment by offering healthy, affordable meals.
During the inauguration, the Minister of Education praised the level of preparation and strict hygiene standards, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts to expand the project's scope. He underscored that such initiatives reflect the university's commitment to supporting student welfare.
Mayor of the Capital Dr. Humood Ubad highlighted that providing student support reflects Islamic values of social solidarity and community service. He commended Sana'a University for its proactive measures to assist its student body.
Sana'a University Rector Dr. Mohammad Al-Bukhaiti noted that securing daily meals had previously posed a significant challenge for dormitory students. He emphasized that access to balanced nutrition allows students to focus on their academic pursuits and achieve excellence.
Dr. Al-Bukhaiti further mentioned that the university established two state-of-the-art dining facilities as part of this project, one located in the Charitable Dormitory and the other in the Wooden Dormitory. Food preparation is supervised by a specialized team from the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences to ensure high health and safety standards.
