Hodeidah: The Al-Sahel Al-Gharbi Medical Complex in Hodeidah Governorate organized a celebratory event today commemorating the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi) for the year 1447 AH, under the slogan "Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah" (At Your Call, O Messenger of God).
According to Yemen News Agency, the event highlighted the deep spiritual and cultural significance of the occasion for the Yemeni people, emphasizing their unwavering devotion to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his teachings. Mohamed Halisi, Deputy Governor for Services, underscored the importance of the Mawlid as a reaffirmation of the Yemeni people's love for the Prophet (PBUH) and their commitment to his path. He contrasted Yemen's heartfelt celebrations with those of other Muslim nations that prioritize Western-influenced events promoting moral decay and the erosion of Islamic identity.
The event emphasized the revival of Islamic identity through the Prophet's teachings, framing the Mawlid as a resistance against cultural imperialism and a means to restore the Ummah's dignity and unity. The ceremony featured poetic recitations and hymns expressing love for the Prophet and the significance of his birth, attended by tribal affairs officials, medical staff, and local leaders.
