Sana’a: Sultan Al-Sam’i, member of the Supreme Political Council, condemned the treacherous criminal U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran, describing it as a blatant violation of the sovereignty of an independent state, a flagrant breach of international law, charters, and humanitarian norms.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Sam’i told the agency that the attack represents a dangerous escalation that undermines the foundations of the international system and destabilizes regional security. He stressed that targeting Iran cannot be separated from the broader context of U.S. pressures and maneuvers in the region.
He expressed Yemen’s solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran-its leadership, government, and people-and affirmed Iran’s legitimate right to defend its sovereignty, security, and independence, in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter.
Al-Sam’i noted that prior U.S. military movements and political statements, including those made by the U.S. ambassador to the Israeli occupation regarding what he called the ‘Talmudic right’ to expand, reflect, in his view, an ideology-based approach to justify policies of imposing facts on the ground.
The Supreme Political Council member also addressed remarks made by the Israeli Prime Minister about seeking-with U.S. support-to foster an anti-Islamic pattern in the region. He explained that such statements reveal deeper dimensions of what he described as ‘Zionist schemes’ aimed at reshaping the political and cultural environment in the Arab and Islamic worlds.
He said, ‘The coincidence of political rhetoric with military maneuvers indicates an attempt to engineer long-term conflicts based on fueling internal divisions under slogans that serve a divide-and-rule policy.’
Al-Sam’i emphasized the ‘inevitable shared destiny of the Arab and Islamic nations due to intertwined geography and overlapping interests,’ calling for strengthening the principles of solidarity, unity, and adherence to the moral values promoted by Islam.
He pointed out that any conflict among the components of the nation is a manufactured hostility, advanced as part of systematic strategies of fragmentation, and affirmed that the current stage requires comprehensive political awareness that transcends divisions, safeguards societies from projects of polarization and confrontation.
