Dhale': Acting governor of Dhale' Abdulatif al-Shaghdari inspected the operations and oversight performance at Ya'is Customs Port in Damt district on Sunday. Al-Shaghdari, accompanied by Director of Customs for Dhamar governorate Fahd Hazza', reviewed the customs procedures and the level of enforcement measures implemented at the port.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit, they discussed ways to address the challenges and obstacles hindering operations and to improve the mechanisms used to prevent smuggling and control violations, thereby contributing to the protection of the national economy and facilitating legitimate trade. Al-Shaghdari emphasized the importance of maintaining a high level of readiness and vigilance at the port and strengthening coordination among the various security and oversight agencies to curb smuggling operations in all their forms.
Meanwhile, al-Shaghdari met with the community committee overseeing the Beit al-Yazidi road project. The meeting addressed the ongoing arrangements for implementing the project, its needs, the difficulties hindering its progress, and ways to overcome them. Al-Shaghdari affirmed the readiness of the local authority and the Central Emergency Development Intervention Unit to fully support the community committee by providing the necessary cement and diesel fuel. He urged the community committee to submit a study on the project and its costs in order to expedite the launch and commencement of this vital project, given its importance in alleviating the suffering of citizens and facilitating their movement.
