Al-mahwit: The security department of Al-Tawilah district in Al-Mahwit governorate organized a speech event on Tuesday to commemorate the Prophet's birthday and a protest to condemn the repeated desecration of the Holy Quran. At the event, which was attended by the district director, Rashid Marwan, the district's mobilization officer, Ali Mohammed Sharaf al-Din, and the district's security director, Lieutenant Colonel Abdul-Hakim al-Houri, the director of moral guidance at the governorate's security department, Lieutenant Colonel Shihab Amer, emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday to draw lessons and inspiration from his noble life, principles, and values in building society.
According to Yemen News Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Amer regarded the celebration as a spiritual opportunity to learn about the life of the Prophet, emulate his morals and principles, strengthen the connection with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and solidify the values he brought to reform the lives of the nation. He urged the residents of Al-Tawilah district to participate widely in the central event commemorating the Prophet's birthday in Al-Mahwit City on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal, stressing the importance of a large turnout and honorable participation in this religious occasion.
He praised the security forces for their role in performing religious and national duties, maintaining security and stability, ensuring the safety of the events, and regulating traffic. He encouraged citizens to cooperate with security services and adhere to established regulations to contribute to the success of the events and the protection of public and private property.
Major Mohammed Al-Makhdhi, Deputy Director of the Civil Status Department in the district, highlighted the significance of drawing inspiration from the Prophet Muhammad's values in fulfilling responsibilities, serving the community, and strengthening cooperation among various entities to serve citizens and maintain security and stability.
The speeches delivered at the event underlined the importance of strengthening religious and cultural awareness and adhering to the faith-based identity, values, and ethics that the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, emphasizing that commemorating this occasion is an expression of love and emulation of the Prophet Muhammad's path.
The event, attended by Yahya al-Kanani, a member of the governorate's mobilization committee, Osama al-Radai, head of the al-Tawila Multipurpose Cooperative Society, officers and security personnel from the directorate, several branch managers of executive offices, mobilization officials, and community figures, included recitations and poems about the life, virtues, and esteemed position of the Prophet Muhammad in the hearts of Muslims.
Following the event, a protest was held to condemn the insults against the Holy Quran and the desecration of its sanctity. Participants expressed their condemnation of the provocative acts against the Holy Quran and the nation's sacred symbols, emphasizing that the Holy Quran is a sacred book that holds a revered place among Muslims.
They considered the insults against the Book of Allah Almighty an attack on the feelings and sacred beliefs of Muslims, calling for serious action to stop such provocative acts, respect religions, sacred sites, and religious symbols, and promote the values of coexistence and respect among peoples and cultures. They reaffirmed their commitment to continuing to mobilize and participate in commemorating the Prophet's birthday and to rally around the values and principles brought by the Great Messenger, may Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace.
