Al-Thawra Medical Team Provides Free Services in Al-Khokha

Al-Khokha:Hodeida: For the second consecutive day, the third medical and technical team from Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Hodeida governorate continued offering free medical, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to citizens at the hospital in the liberated district of Al-Khokha.

According to Yemen News Agency, the team provided services through clinics specializing in internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and orthopedics. Over this period, 409 patients benefited from consultations, 74 received X-ray and CT scan services, and 82 used laboratory services. Additionally, medications were dispensed to 441 cases through a free pharmacy.

The total number of medical services provided during the two days surpassed 1,006 cases and service instances. This included 10 surgical operations, comprising seven general surgeries and two orthopedic procedures, as well as maintenance work on various medical devices at the hospital.

Dr. Khaled Suhail, Head of the Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority, emphasized that the team is continuing its efforts as part of a field operations program. This program offers specialties in medicine, consultancy, technical support, nursing, and services in laboratories, radiology, pharmacy, surgery, anesthesia, respiratory care, and medical equipment engineering.

Upon arrival, the team promptly began receiving patients, conducting examinations, diagnostic tests, and surgical interventions. These activities were carried out alongside equipment maintenance and the provision of necessary medicines and supplies.

Dr. Suhail noted the high demand for medical services recently highlights the need for ongoing support in Al-Khokha District. He commended the team's dedication and the cooperation of Al-Khokha Hospital's management in delivering these services.

Furthermore, the hospital authority acknowledged the Ministry of Health and the governorate's leadership for their oversight and commitment to supporting health facilities with specialist staff and essential medical supplies, which enhance the readiness of health services across the West Coast districts.
