Sana'a: The Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society in Al-Wahdah district of the capital Sana'a on Thursday held a celebratory evening to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, during the evening, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee and Deputy Head of Sana'a's Development Team, highlighted the significance of the occasion and the exalted status of the Prophet, who came as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner, a guide, teacher, leader, and mercy to the worlds.
He said the widespread celebrations and expressions of joy across cities, neighborhoods, and streets, despite what he described as 'poisonous cultures,' demonstrate the depth of Yemenis' love, loyalty, and attachment to the Prophet Muhammad, as well as their longstanding connection to him throughout history.
Al-Naqeeb stressed the importance of deepening the emotional and spiritual connection with the Prophet, emulating his life and righteous path, and confronting systematic campaigns aimed at separating the Muslim community from its Prophet, Quran, and sacred values. He urged everyone to maintain their participation in activities marking the Prophet's birthday and to mobilize for the major central celebration.
Speakers emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday and expressing joy on this cherished occasion for the Yemeni people.
