Sana'a: Al-Yarmouk Club claimed the title of the Prophet's birthday Football Championship in the Capital Sana'a after defeating al-Ahli Sana'a 2-1 in the final match of the tournament, organized by al-Wehda Club of Sana'a in cooperation with the local branch of the Football Association.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Yarmouk's victory was secured through a brace by Osama al-Dahiyah, while Adnan al-Sharif scored Al-Ahli's only goal. The match concluded with a celebratory ceremony where the Secretary-General of the Capital Sana'a Local Council and Chairman of al-Wahda Club, Amin Juma'an, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for the Sports Sector, Ali Hadhban, Head of the Youth Office in the Capital, Abdullah Ubaid, and several club officials honored al-Yarmouk with the championship trophy and gold medals.
Speakers at the ceremony emphasized the significance of the tournament as a reflection of the dedication of sports clubs and youth institutions to commemorating the Prophet's birthday. They highlighted the efforts to instill religious and national values among the youth and to promote sports as a means of building awareness and strengthening identity.
