Sana'a: The Zakat and Endowments and Guidance Authorities held a speech event today in Sana'a to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution. The event, organized under the theme "The Zakat and Endowments Authorities are a fruit of the September 21 Revolution," featured remarks from Acting Prime Minister Allama Mohammed Miftah.
According to Yemen News Agency, Allama Miftah declared that the September 21 Revolution was a movement for freedom, independence, and dignity. He emphasized that it marked a significant victory over a system characterized by dependency and subservience, which had previously caused widespread violence and destruction across Yemen. He described the revolution as a stand against a broader Zionist-American agenda in the region.
Allama Miftah attributed the revolution's ignition to the late leader Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, highlighting its nature as a liberation movement. He noted that despite the severe challenges faced by the revolutionaries, including conspiracies and opposition from international forces, the revolution maintained its moral high ground by not resorting to punitive measures against its adversaries.
Throughout the event, Miftah acknowledged the sacrifices made by the Yemeni people in their pursuit of sovereignty and independence. He praised the resilience of the Yemeni citizens who endured hardships to uphold their dignity against what he termed as a "criminal coalition."
In his address, Miftah also spoke about the achievements on the western coast, where Yemeni forces reportedly repelled enemy advances. He described these efforts as miraculous and praised the Zakat Authority for its role in providing humanitarian assistance during the conflict. Miftah conveyed that normalcy had returned to liberated areas, with public services and security being restored promptly.
The Acting Prime Minister concluded by expressing gratitude for the professionalization of Yemen's army, considering it a significant accomplishment of the September 21 Revolution. He thanked the Zakat and Endowments Authorities for organizing the event, which celebrated the revolution's principles and successes.
The event also featured remarks from other dignitaries, including Judge Alawi bin Aqeel and Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashtan. They echoed sentiments of pride in the revolution's achievements and highlighted ongoing efforts to support Yemen's independence and development. Allama Abdulmajeed Al-Houthi, head of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, emphasized the revolution's role in establishing a free and independent Yemeni state.
