Amran Reviews Water Corporation Performance, Approves Measures to Improve Services

Amran: The board of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Amran province, chaired by Governor Dr. Faisal Juma'an, reviewed performance and achievements for the first quarter of 2026 and approved measures to enhance service delivery.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by deputy governors and board members, examined financial, administrative, technical, and service indicators, as well as challenges facing operations and ways to address them. Discussions focused on improving revenue collection, resolving outstanding government debts, and tackling operational issues affecting efficiency.

The board approved mechanisms to boost water supply to subscribers, enhance revenue collection, and reduce water loss. It also endorsed forming a joint committee to assess damaged equipment, addressing inactive meter subscriptions, and taking steps to improve overall performance and service provision.

Officials highlighted ongoing plans to expand services, rehabilitate wells, and adopt solar energy solutions, while reaffirming continued efforts to meet citizens' needs despite current challenges.
