Taiz: An expanded meeting chaired by the Acting Governor of Taiz Governorate, Ahmed al-Masawa, approved on Monday the urban plan for Dhamna city in Khadir District. The plan includes 14 neighborhood units in addition to an internal road network, in accordance with the general 'master plan.'
According to Yemen News Agency, during the meeting, which was attended by the Governorate Undersecretary Mohammed Abdulbari al-Ramima, al-Masawa emphasized the importance of this plan in preventing random and unregulated construction, and in presenting Dhamna Khadir city in an appropriate urban image. He also stressed the attention of the local authority leadership in the governorate to following up on the approval and implementation of urban plans, given their importance in organizing construction and establishing a well-structured service environment.
For his part, the Director of the Public Works Office in the governorate, Engineer Bakil Hamid, considered the approval of the new neighborhood units and internal road network for Dhamna Khadir city an important step in protecting secondary city plans from informal construction and the associated land and planning issues. He also highlighted the importance of adopting neighborhood unit plans in the rest of the governorate's districts.
Meanwhile, the Director of Khadir District, Faris al-Jaradi, praised the efforts made to approve the neighborhood units for Dhamna city, which extends from Rahban area to al-Kharara area, noting that this plan will give the city an appropriate modern urban appearance.
