Sana'a: Bani Al-Harith district in the capital Sana'a organized a series of celebrations on Monday to commemorate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. The events included cultural evenings and gatherings attended by various officials and community figures.
According to Yemen News Agency, the district's military branch hosted a cultural evening, which saw the participation of District Director Hamad bin Rakan, Military Branch Chief Brigadier General Abu Huda Dhuwaib, and Security Directors Colonel Samir Abu Ali and Colonel Dhaifallah Al-Khatib. The event was also attended by local, executive, security, military, and mobilization officials, as well as social figures. During the evening, Capital Sana'a Mobilization Representative Ragheb Abu Ali emphasized the significance of using this religious occasion to strengthen faith, adhere to the Prophetic and Quranic path, and emulate the Prophet's example.
Abu Ali urged the community to participate widely in the grand central celebration at Al-Sabeen Square, honoring the birth of the Prophet Muhammad in a manner befitting his esteemed position in Yemeni hearts. The evening included speeches, religious chants, and poems that highlighted the occasion's importance.
In addition, a separate event was held at Palestine Square in the Airport District, organized by tribal leaders, religious figures, the General Mobilization Committee, the education sector, social figures, and residents. District Director Hamad bin Rakan and Capital Mobilization Representative Ragheb Abu Ali discussed the religious and educational significance of the Prophet's birthday, encouraging the emulation of his values and principles.
Residents of Al-Jamna Square in Al-Rawda District also organized a cultural evening, featuring speeches, poems, and a choral performance. Community leaders and elders of the Western Al-Rawda neighborhood held a large gathering on Sunday evening, attended by local and district officials. Speakers at these gatherings called for broad participation in the grand celebration at Al-Sabeen Square.
In the Western Al-Rawda neighborhood, Binaa Al-Ghad Schools hosted a celebration featuring speeches, religious chants, poems, an operetta, and traditional performances by students, further commemorating the Prophet's birthday.
